Modular Wild Presents TipTop Audio ZDSP - VC Digital Signal Processor

A new series by Raul Pena starts today.
This time it's all about the versatile Tiptop Audio ZDSP Voltage Controlled Digital Signal Processor, an open-source, cartridge-based digital sound-processing and generating platform for Eurorack

Like the processor in your desktop computer, the Z-DSP runs programs in memory.
It’s these programs that create the delays, filters, oscillators and more that the Z-DSP can produce.
The possibilities are virtually endless, limited only by the imagination of those who write the applications for it. Tiptop Audio, together with some of the best known programmers in the music industry, are working to bring programs to the Z-DSP platform.
The Z-DSP uses an open-source coding environment, and using a programmer (available from Tiptop/Spin
Semiconductor) anyone can create, share or sell their own applications for the Z-DSP.
TipTopAudio hopes that this unique feature will motivate more designers and users to dive in to the amazing world of digital signal processing and enrich the available library of applications for the Z-DSP platform.

" An extended audio Experiment with Dual Tiptop Audio ZDSP's and Dragonfly Delays card.A simple pulse waveform is fed into ZDSP# 1 on the left side of the screen.
These outputs may be heard in the center stereo field throughout the video. Feedback out from ZDSP #1 is fed out to Audio in 1 and Feedback in 2 of ZDSP #2.
A Sine wave is fed into audio input 2 of ZDSP#2 for effect. This creates an interesting and semi-evolving feedback loop.ZDSP #2 is heard in the far left and far right stereo field. Also a short example with clock modulation. Sound and Audio by Raul Pena"

SiteTip: PatchPierre's Feedfest

PatchPierre's RSS Feedfest webpage
Last weekend i started a new side-project that has all the analog modular synthesizer news you ever wanted in the form of RSS-feeds.
This is currently still a work in progress, new links will be added during the coming weeks/months.

This will probably eventually replace the sidebar on the right side of my PatchPierre.Net blog, and that will hopefully make loading my page a lot faster in the near future...
Enjoy!
